Mondo del vino MGM
Light, sweet Italian wine for a new generation

A company founded by three winemakers
April 1991, Forlì, a city in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. Three winemakers — Alfeo Martini, Roger Gabb and Christoph Mack — founded a company: MGM Mondo del Vino. True to its name, “the world of wine”, it set out with the dream of bringing Italian wine to tables around the world.
A winery in Priocca, Piedmont

MGM’s production base is in Priocca, a small Piedmont village in the homeland of Barolo and Moscato d’Asti. The Mosketto that VINOFOLIO imports is made here.
In early 2025 the company invested more than 3.5 million euros in a new production line for the “Martinotti method”, in which sparkling wine is fermented in large tanks. Creating the bubbles in tank rather than bottle by bottle keeps the fresh fruit aromas of the grape intact.
Part of Italy’s largest private wine group
In 2022 MGM joined forces with the Veneto wine company Botter to form the Argea group. Argea describes itself as Italy’s largest private wine group, producing about 170 million bottles a year across eight wineries and production sites and shipping to more than 85 countries.
Within the group, MGM makes wines from Italy’s regions alongside wineries such as Cuvage and Ricossa in Piedmont and Poderi dal Nespoli in Romagna.
Mosketto, wine for a new generation
Mosketto is a brand created for people who found wine difficult and heavy. At around 5% alcohol it is light, with pleasant bubbles that dance on the palate.
The secret lies in not finishing the fermentation. When the grape must is fermented in stainless steel and stopped while the alcohol is still low, the grape’s natural sweetness remains and the bubbles from fermentation dissolve naturally into the wine. No artificial flavours or added carbon dioxide, and no added sugar.
The brand’s picture is clear: wine to enjoy casually, with anyone, among good company. So Mosketto is both an after-dinner dessert wine and a cocktail ingredient — the Mosketto Fizz, sweet white with white vermouth and tonic, is the classic.
Sweet White and Sweet Pink

Mosketto Sweet White is made from Moscato Bianco. Fresh fruit mingles with rose petal and white flowers, and sweetness is balanced by refreshing bubbles. It is lovely with fruit salad or pastries.
Mosketto Sweet Pink adds Brachetto, a red Piedmont grape, to Moscato Bianco. Gentle aromas of cherry, raspberry and rose petal spread sweetly, and it shows a surprising affinity with spicy Asian food.
Both wines are at their freshest served well chilled, at 4–6°C.
